Alexandra and Don's DC Wedding {DC Wedding Photographer}

I was excited about this wedding for months leading up to it...really, ever since my engagement session with Alexandra and Don. They are one of those couples that you just love to be around and they photograph incredibly well too:) Their day was perfect. It was full of meaningful details to them and their lives together. It was full of people who love them too (I'll be honest, I got teary during some of the toasts at the reception just hearing their friends and family talk about them). And to top it all off, the weather was even perfect this August day! Alexandra and Don, thank you for letting me be a part of your day! Congratulations again!!!

I love that Alexandra got ready in her childhood bedroom...hot pink accents and all!

One of those teary moments for sure...this was Alexandra's "something blue." Her parents were married wearing jeans...so she wanted to be married "in jeans" too. She had this jean heart sown into her dress with the dates of her parents wedding anniversary and her own inside. Pretty special, right?

This is when she showed them the "jeans" inside her dress..

love the rosary tied around her bouquet!

such a beautiful bride!

I found out later in the day, that all the men in Don's family were married in a white tux coat and black pants...very classy.

that is one good looking ring bearer...

...and an oh so sweet flower girl too!

first looks...one of the best moments of the day

seriously, such a happy couple!

they never stop smiling...really, they don't.

I don't get a lot of couples that do an outfit change, but this one did! Such a fun part of the night!

And their outfits were perfect for the salsa dancing that happened right afterwards...a surprise they were planning for months in advance.

I hope you enjoy the preview Alexandra and Don! So much more to come...

Life is full of events. Some events we look back and realize how great they were but we did not know back then, thus, we did not celebrate them the way we should have. Alexandra and Don, you have captured one of life's most wonderful events and made a fantastic celebration out of it, and made us all part of it. Thank you for sharing your love and allow us to celebrate it with you. God Bless you and continue to fill your lives with meaningful events and give you the opportunity to realize you are living them and thus celebrate them the way you did with at your wonderful wedding.

I love happy the bride was all day. What a special way to honor her parents with the jean-heart!
