You might remember when I blogged about my new relationship with twitter a month ago. I wasn't too sure about the tweeting world, but after today's shoot I found one more reason to stick with it:) I met Lauren through twitter (you can follow her @amommyinthecity). She is a mom to 20 month old Harlan, a blogger, a Floridian (small world), and just a fun person to be around! I knew I was going to love this shoot even before I got there and I was definitely not disappointed. Harlan is adorable (as you can see in the photos below)! We started the morning in their apartment where Harlan showed off all her toys, then we headed down to the West Village for a walk through St. Luke's in the Fields garden. Thank you Lauren and Harlan for such a great morning!
Meet Anna! Anna is 13 months old and is absolutely adorable! We spent the afternoon playing in her room and Anna showed me all of her favorite toys and clothes. She also showed off her cruising and crawling skills. Then, we ventured into her backyard (Riverside Park) and took a little stroll. Anna, you were perfect! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!
I posted a small preview from my bridal market experience with Brooklyn Bride last weekend. Check out Brooklyn Bride's ever-so-lovely website to see the rest of the runway images.
This week Alan, Jack, and I traveled to West Palm Beach to visit our nephew Harrison (and his parents too). Harrison is 5 months old and is a true fighter. He has spent most of his life in a hospital, but after 5 months and 5 surgeries he is finally home! He still has a long road ahead of him, but he is home with the most amazing parents a child could ask for and thriving. You can read more of his story here, kept up by his beautiful mother throughout these last 5 months. This was not our first meeting with Harrison, but it was our first extended visit since he was born and it's been such a fun 4 days...it's going to be so hard to leave in the morning! Here's a quick look at his sweet little face...
Today was a great day to be in NYC...sunny, 60 degrees, and filled with this spring's bridal fashion week (the last of which was most exciting of course). I spent the day photographing the beautiful dresses of Christos, Kenneth Pool, Junko Yoshioka, and Amsale for wedding style blog Brooklyn Bride. The dresses were beautiful, of Brooklyn Bride was a joy, and the photographers pit was a ton of fun. Lots of photos to come from Brooklyn Bride, but here's a quick finale shot to end the day.
You cannot deny the pure joy of seeing a 6 year old run around in excitement during a photo shoot. Perhaps it's the promise of candy for being good, perhaps it's the new clothes they get to wear, perhaps it's the new "playground" they get to explore. Regardless, it's my job to capture that excitement and I love every moment of it! Here's Sopi and a look at our weekend shoot with Tiny Opera Tees.
