Lauren and Natalie {Staten Island Children's Photographer | NYC Children's Photographer}

So many reasons to love this shoot! I first met Lauren and Natalie last summer at Lauren's sister's wedding in Central Park. And just recently, Lauren called to ask me to photograph her wedding this next summer! And this shoot with just Lauren and Natalie was a pure bonus:) Natalie is now 3 and cuter than ever. We spent our afternoon at Snug Harbor in Staten Island, which felt like a day retreat for me (if you're ever in Staten Island, you really should go). It was the perfect spot too, so much beautiful space to photograph in and my sneak peek of Lauren and Jason's wedding location next summer! Thanks for a great afternoon...enjoy the preview!

Claudia {Brooklyn Maternity Photographer, NYC Maternity Photographer}

I'm pretty sure Claudia has looked amazing throughout her whole pregnancy because she's 36 weeks and still glowing. We met at Claudia's apartment in Cobble Hill for what turned into a very sweet and simple shoot in her living room. We moved furniture around constantly, changed outfits every 15 minutes (one of my favorite things about shooting in someone's home), and came up with some really beautiful photos. This was definitely one of my favorite maternity shoots and I think the images will show you why. I can't wait to hear about your sweet baby girls arrival Claudia!

Holly and Joe: Wedding Preview {DC Wedding Photographer | NYC Wedding Photographer}

Holly and Joe are NY'ers now, but their shared experience at Georgetown brought them together and made for a perfect wedding destination. All the details were perfect. The ceremony was held at Grace Episcopal Church, a truly charming sanctuary built in the 1800's in the heart of Georgetown. Followed by a reception at Sequoia, a perfect DC wedding venue with it's floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water and upper level bar to host the cocktail hour. The best part of these 2 venues though is that their in walking distance to each other...what could be better? But as much as I loved the venues and the details, the best part of their day was watching Holly and Joe together with their families. They both come from strong loving families and I loved watching them embrace Holly and Joe on this special day. I also loved the way Holly and Joe honored each other's families traditions throughout the day, from the playing of Edelweiss during the ceremony (a Bryce family tradition) to the serving of Joe's grandmother's apple pie at the reception (rather than cake). Thank you Holly and Joe for letting me be a part of your day! Enjoy the preview!

With the scare of Hurricane Irene, we were bracing ourselves for a rainy/windy day, but the storm moved out just hours before leaving us with an incredibly beautiful day!

One of my favorite moments...I think putting on the wedding dress makes everything start to feel real.

Holly, you are truly stunning!

The streets of Georgetown gave us the perfect backdrop(s) for photos throughout the day.

Grace Episcopal Church and Holly and Joe's first kiss!

A few weeks before the wedding, Joe called me to tell me he was planning a surprise for Holly...a horse drawn carriage to take them from the church (remembering one of their first dates)...

...she had no idea!

My favorite part of the wedding day...photographs of just the wedding couple!

I love these 2 shots!

So many adorable details were at their reception at Sequoia, including their favor/dessert table made up of their favorite desserts. No cake for this couple, they chose to serve apple pie instead!

Their first dance...followed by a lively night of dancing until the last possible moment (my favorite kind of reception)!
