I was so excited when Emily got in touch with me over a month ago about this shoot. She and Desiree were meeting up for a friends weekend in the city and they thought a photo shoot together was the perfect way to commemorate the occasion...I couldn't have been happier! They were so much fun to hang out with! Despite the cold, they were still willing to go through with their outfit plans without complaint (I'm pretty sure I complained more than they did as I stayed bundle in my coat, scarf, and gloves the whole time). And to top it off, we were on the Highline...one of my favorite places in the city! Have a great rest of your weekend Emily and Desiree!

Last week I shared a preview from the Babybites staff holiday party, but I wanted to add a few more. In the midst of the party we stopped for a few headshots of each of the staff and I personally love them, so I had to post them now.

I could hardly believe our luck this December weekend...45 degrees and no wind chill! While that may sound cold to some of you, to the Maiello family and me it was a warm front and a perfect afternoon for photos. I'm so glad too because they were so much fun to photograph! James and Micheal were a bundle of energy and doing their best to make me laugh with true boy humor (which totally worked). So many great photos, but here are just a few for now...
Babybites Holiday Party
I was so excited for a holiday brunch with the Babybites team. Babybites is a social and educational community for moms and moms-to-be. And as a new mom in the city, I have personally come to value the resource of Babybites through new mom lunches, seminars, support groups, etc...I even found a workout group through them! Obviously when Heather (a co-owner of Babybites) invited me to come photograph their staff holiday party, I was thrilled. Thank you for letting me be a part of your morning! Jack's 80th Birthday Preview (NY Family Photographer)
It's not often that I get to photograph multiple generations at once, but Jack's 80th birthday party gave me just that. I know how important this is to me and my family, so I loved being able to interact with Jack and his family for a little while this past Saturday. Gleason Family (NYC Family Photographer)
I love my photo shoots with the Gleason family! The last time I saw them, Julia was a sweet newborn...now she is a happy, excited 5 month old. It's amazing how much they change in such a few short months, it only makes me more excited for our next meeting! Happy Holidays Gleason family!
Favorite Photo Ever
Yes, it's true. I have officially taken my favorite photo to date. It's only fitting that it be of JACK, right? Jack is officially 8 months old (where 8 months have gone, I still have no idea). We decided to take a family day trip out of the city to Cold Spring. It was the perfect getaway too, a quaint town, lots of antique stores, perfect fall weather, fall leaves everywhere...did I mention it was the perfect getaway? It also happened to have countless places that I would love to use for a photo shoot, but this particular spot caught my eye immediately (I'll let the picture tell you why) and with the perfect subject I really couldn't go wrong.
Audrey and Aiden (NYC Engagement Photographer)
I love it when I feel connected to a couple before I even meet them. Thanks to a mutual friend connection, this shoot was just that. Audrey and Aiden were so much fun to photograph! They were up for anything, laughed constantly, and made themselves perfectly comfortable in front of the camera from the first moment. We had a great afternoon and we have some great photos to prove it. Enjoy the preview!
Polke Family (Madison, NJ Family Photograher)
It was a perfect fall weekend for photo shoots and the Polke family home was the perfect place for it, with it's great backyard full of trees and lots of leaves. It was a bit cold, but by the way Tessa was running around, you would never have known. We spent most of our time chasing her around the house, but it all made for some really adorable photos. Thanks for a great morning Polke family!

Sopi and Jed (NYC Children's Photographer)
I love photographing kids, and Sopi and Jed are one of the reasons why. They each won me over within minutes of our meeting. Sopi with her big-sister-know-how and Jed with his green tongue from the lollipop he ate earlier in the afternoon. They were so sweet with each other and they make beautiful pictures...I hope this is only the first of our meetings. Thanks again for a great afternoon!
Balfe Family (NYC Family Photographer)
Today was a pretty cold fall day, thankfully the Balfe family braved through it. They were so much fun to photograph! Ryan is absolutely precious at 4 1/2 months and I had a lot of fun relating "new parent" stories with Kevin and Rebecca. Oscar (NYC Newborn Photographer)
Oscar is here and he is absolutely precious! I met his mother (Laura Krey) last month at her maternity shoot and this was my first meeting with Oscar...I think we really hit it off. He loved my camera and the sound of the shutter at least, which is good since he'll be seeing so much of it this next year. I already feel so connected to this little man! There are so many great photos, but here are just a few for now.
Priscilla of Boston Runway Show
What a treat! It's Bridal Market in NYC and I had the chance to be a part of it. I was invited by The Bride Room of Nashville, TN to come photograph the Priscilla of Boston runway show . So many beautiful gowns! We had perfect seats (right next to the photographer's pit) so getting photos was all too easy. I could easily post a photo of each gown, but I'll show you just a few of my favorites...be sure to notice the finale!
